His Eminence Sayyid Muqtada al-Sadr meets the Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi in Najaf


His Eminence Hujjat al-Islam and Muslims the leader Muqtada al-Sadr, met Dr. Haidar al-Abadi, the Prime Minister in Najaf in Al-Hanafah on Saturday , Shawwal 9 , 1439, - June 23, 2018.

 

During the meeting, they discussed the latest developments in the political process in the country and the results of negotiations and understandings between the blocs over the formation of the next government and the importance of transition to the stage of actual preparation and the establishment of the foundations of the formation of the next government.

 

After the meeting, a joint press conference was held to his Eminence the leader Muqtada al-Sadr and Dr. Haider al-Abadi to declare across - sectarianism, ethnicity alliance to accelerate the formation of the next government and to agree on points of common principles to ensure the interests of the Iraqi people between the alliances Nasr and Saiuron which contributing in the formation of strong government serve the impatiences of our people in all areas and in the light of these principles call on the blocs to hold a leadership meeting to agree on the subsequent steps, his Eminence announced on some points that are the basis of the alliance in accordance with the eight principles which are 

 

First: an invitation to across - sectarianism and ethnicity alliance that includes all the components of the Iraqi people.

 

Second: the continuation to fight corruption,and remove corrupt people from the positions of state and government, and provide those who have files of corruption to the Iraqi judiciary, as well as strengthen the role of controlling institutions, in the fight against corruption and the control .

 

Third: the formation of  a government of technocrats of competence persons , away from narrow quotas.

 

Fourth: The support and strengthen the army, the police and the security forces, and to limit weapons to the state, maintain its prestige and what was achieved of achievements.

 

Fifth: The developing of a reform program to support the Iraqi economy in all sectors.

 

Sixth: The maintain a balanced relationship with all, in the interests of Iraq, sovereignty and independence, and non-interference in the affairs of the state, as well as does not allow the others to interfere  in our affairs.

 

Seventh: Support the reform of the Iraqi judicial system and activate the role of the prosecution.

 

Eighth: The preserve unity of Iraq, land and people, and the emphasize on the peaceful transfer of power.
